LEGO Marvel Super Heroes Next-Gen Review (PopBucket)

I’m going to have to score this one point lower than the PS3 version as this version is a lazy port that’s cheeky enough to ask for a greater amount of money. However please don’t let that detract from what a fun game LEGO Marvel Super Heroes is.

Pixelvolt – Epic Empire: A Hero’s Quest

In the world of free-to-play games, developers often try to push in-app purchases by limiting play time. For example, youll only be able to drive eight races before your car needs repairs, and you have to either wait for them to finish, or pay real money to fix your car instantly. However, finding the right balance is proving difficult, as proved by Epic Empire: A Heros Quest. While the game offers enjoyable gameplay for the most part, it completely misses the mark with its energy system.

Video game consoles are a curiously old-fashioned concept.

At the earliest, you only get a new one from each manufacturer every five years, during which time the technology is set in stone and starts out already inferior to the current state-of-the-art on PCs.

Indie games to the rescue as physical games dwindle in numbers

The PlayStation 2 has nearly 4000 games, and theres no way well ever see a system harbor such a monstrous library again. When you consider the amount of downloadable content that was available during the PS2 era, which was next to nothing, you may wonder how the system got by. It got by because a lot of those games were fun, and still hold up today. How will this generation of consoles fair?

Kickstart This: The Pre-Christmas Whopper Edition

Warp Zoned writes:

“We have a whopping seven projects to share this month, including the super cute P.A.W.S. Prime Alien Watch Squad, oddball survival game Dyscourse, the eccentric steampunk detective adventure The Dead Flowers Case, and 2D turn based monster shooter MODUS. Halfway through, things get a little more intense with a throwback to 80s action films in Bullet Bros, tactical FPS assassin title Lonewolf, and finally, the beautifully rendered isometric sci-fi adventure Stasis.”
